organic cotton
Organic cotton has been the bedrock of our sustainable clothing since Silverstick was founded in 2010. We use Aegean organic cotton, certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), this is the highest quality organic cotton in the world. Organic means the cotton is grown without the use of chemicals such as pesticides and insecticides.
ethically made
We take an ethical stance on all aspects of production. Our clothing is made in Turkey and we are very selective in the factory we use. Every year our factory is independently inspected and certified by the Global Textile Organic Standard (GOTS) and the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI).
sustainable dyes
Silverstick uses low-impact dyes that do not contain harmful substances. The main elements that are prohibited are heavy metals, ammonia treatment, azo dyes, bleaches, chlorine, phthalates and formaldehyde. Both our dyes and dye houses are certified to be non toxic by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Oexo-Tex.
eco-friendly printing
Silverstick clothing is printed with water based inks. They don’t contain toxic chemicals such as lead or heavy metals so do not harm the environment or human health. Our inks are plastic free and certified by Oeko-Tex and approved as inputs to the production of garments by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

We are very proud to say we produce our outdoor accessories from sustainable fabrics here in Britain. Our hats and socks are made from organic cotton and a wide range of natural wools including merino and alpaca. They are made with care and consideration and are better for the planet.
