One way to make our clothing more sustainable is to get more products made closer to home.
So, we were very happy when we found a factory in Britain to make our organic cotton socks.
Founded over 100 years ago in the midlands, the factory has a rich textile history with many skilled people who have been involved for generations.
Britain does not have the climate to grow organic cotton, so we import certified organic cotton from abroad and dye it into our chosen colours here.
At the factory, the organic cotton yarn is knitted into socks on traditional machinery and every pair is finished by hand.
The end product is a very high quality sock crafted in Britain from sustainable organic cotton.
