morzine summer trails
Our friends Joe, Meg and Ben headed out to Morzine to ride the Summer mountain trails.
'This summer the three of us went on a 10 day trip to Morzine. We loaded the van with bikes and headed to the mountains in search of long dusty trails and flowing single track. The drive was long but the excitement kept us going through the night, and 15 hours later we arrived to the sunrise in the mountains.
Every day was pretty much the same. Cruise down to the lift. Load bikes. Then let gravity do its thing. We would do as many runs as our hands could handle before a quick stop for our staple diet of baguette and cheese. Once we were fuelled and we’d soaked up enough mountain views, more riding was done.
Mid-way through the week we did an epic ride which took us through Switzerland and Austria, covering miles of amazing riding, trials that weaved through mountain valleys and cruised through sleepy alpine villages.
I think we had one day of rain during the end of the trip which turned the dust into slippery grease. Ben and I decided we’d ride some of the more natural “off-piste” trials after the rain. These runs turned out to be some of the steepest trails we’ve ever ridden.
We rode in Silverstick tees the whole trip. They’re comfortable and soft, which when riding all day, makes it that little bit more enjoyable.
After 10 days of incredible riding it was time to pack the van again and head back to Devon.'
